Really glad you wrote this. As someone who teaches Alexander Technique and meditation, I too have been really uncomfortable with the implicit (or explicit) idea that if you just meditated or ate healthy enough or did enough yoga then you should feel serene and balanced. Like you write here so clearly, there are so many reasons why people feel unbalanced and a lot of that has to do with structural forces beyond wellness. Thank you.
